This next generation audio capture device comes on the back of 40 years of Olympus excellence in audio and features a surprisingly versatile extra: the ability to begin recording before the record button is pressed, thanks to a Pre-Record Buffer. This incredibly useful facility ensures that the start of a song, a sentence, or bird song need never be missed again. Superior audio recording is further delivered by an omni directional microphone, which joins the Olympus LS-3’s two angled condenser microphones. This improves the capture of low frequencies for truly natural stereo with expansive bass. Enhancing performance further - even when there is background noise – is a switchable two level low-cut filter.
